How it works
Know what you have. Fix it. Prove it.
Three steps to accessible documents
Know
A free look at your site, then a free full audit: every document, which ones matter most, and which may not need fixing at all.
About the free auditFix
AI rebuilds each document's structure. Software validates it. A person reviews and signs off every file. Your words are never rewritten.
How review worksProve
Every document comes back with five files, including a final audit and a signed conformance statement you can show anyone who asks.
See the proof
Six stages for every document, then monitoring
01Discovered
Our crawler, EveryReaderBot, reads your public website and the vendor sites it links to, and builds an inventory of every PDF, Word file, slide deck and spreadsheet. It honors robots.txt and makes no more than one request per second.
02Audited
Every document gets a quick automated check: is it tagged, does it have real text, a title and a language, embedded fonts, enough contrast? We sort documents into priority tiers and flag ones that may be better archived or removed than fixed.
03Remediated
For the documents you choose, a vision model reads each page and builds the structure: headings, lists, tables, reading order, alternative text, language. We produce a tagged PDF, and for rebuilt files an HTML page and a Word file you can maintain. Scanned pages go through text recognition first.
04Verified
Software checks the result: veraPDF validation against PDF/UA-1, a contrast re-check, and a word-by-word comparison of the original and remediated text. The document text is never rewritten by a model, and any difference goes to a reviewer.
05Human review
A Purely Works reviewer works through each document before it reaches you, then approves it. Nothing is delivered without a person's sign-off.
06Delivered
You download the five artifacts for each document from your portal, along with a combined conformance summary.
07MonitoringOptional
Optional: we re-scan your site regularly, alert you to new or changed documents, and remediate them at your contracted rates.
Why EveryReader
Accessible documents you can prove
AI does most of the labor. Software proves what can be proven. A person signs off on every file. That combination is what makes the result fast, affordable and defensible.
Proof, not promises
Every document comes back with five files, including a final audit and a conformance statement you can file or show anyone who asks.
A person signs off every file
A Purely Works reviewer checks what software cannot judge, such as whether alt text is true and the reading order makes sense, and signs with their name and the date.
Your words are never rewritten
AI rebuilds the structure, not the content. We compare every word of the fixed file with the original, and any difference goes to a reviewer.
We tell you what not to fix
Older reference material can qualify for the archived-content exception (28 CFR § 35.201). The free audit shows which documents, so your budget goes to the ones people use.
Plain, published pricing
Per-page prices are on our pricing page. You see a quote before any work starts, and nothing is ordered until you confirm.
We practice what we sell
Our website and client portal are built to WCAG 2.1 AA, with a high-contrast theme and a typeface designed for low-vision readers.
| Question | EveryReader | One-click auto-tagging | Traditional manual vendor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who checks the work | A named reviewer signs off every file | Nobody; your staff check it themselves | A person, usually without a written record |
| What you can show for it | Five files per document, a validation report and a conformance statement | Nothing | Varies; often a certificate without details |
| Tables, forms and scans | Structure rebuilt from how the page looks; scans recognized and proofread | Often wrong: tags are guessed from font sizes | Good, done by hand |
| Your words | Compared word by word with the original | Unchanged | Retyped in places, which can add errors |
| Turnaround | About 72 hours for typical orders | Minutes, then rework | Often weeks |
| Cost | Published per-page prices | Low, plus your staff's time to fix it | Usually the highest per page |
